Here's what we were working with - honey-toned wood cabinets, dark countertops, and a floral backsplash that had seen better days. The layout was perfectly fine. Good bones, solid storage, good flow. The homeowner didn't need a gut job. They just needed the space to stop feeling so heavy and closed in.

So instead of ripping everything out, we refinished the cabinets and swapped the countertops. That's it. The cabinet doors came off, went through full prep and spray finishing outside, and came back a clean, crisp white. Every door laid flat and finished individually so the coat went on smooth with no drips, no brush marks - just a solid, even finish across the board.

Inside, we masked off the whole kitchen properly - floors, appliances, everything - before touching a single surface. That kind of prep work is what separates a clean finish from one that looks good in photos but starts peeling in a year. We take that part seriously.

The new countertops tie the whole thing together. The white and grey marble-look surface runs the full perimeter and onto the peninsula, giving the kitchen a much lighter, more open feel. Paired with a new stainless faucet and the freshly painted cabinets, the space went from dated to clean and functional without moving a single cabinet or wall.

This is exactly the kind of kitchen remodeling work we do well. If your kitchen has good bones but just feels stuck in another decade, a cabinet refinish and countertop update might be all you need to change how the whole space feels.
