Sometimes a tub doesn't need to be ripped out - it just needs the right attention. That was the case here. The tub itself was still structurally sound, so rather than going the full replacement route, epoxy coating was the smarter call. Our partners over at Inland Pacific Coatings handled that part, and they knocked it out of the park.
Once the epoxy work was done, we stepped in to handle the finishing details. That meant recaulking the tub and reinstalling the shower door. It sounds simple, but this is the stuff that actually holds a bathroom together - literally. Bad caulk or a loose door seal leads to water getting where it shouldn't, and that turns into a much bigger headache down the road.
The finish you get with epoxy is genuinely impressive. Bright white, smooth, and clean - it reads like a brand new tub. Pair that with fresh caulk lines and a properly hung shower door, and the whole space pulls together in a way that a surface-level cleaning never could.
This kind of local collaboration is something we're big on. Nobody does everything best on their own, and when you can bring in a specialist for one piece of the job and then finish strong on your end, the customer gets a better result. That's the goal every time. If you're in the Coeur d'Alene or Post Falls area and your tub is looking rough but still has good bones, this approach is worth a serious look.
